It's a dark day, not just in the history of Indian Politics but in the history of India. A man who dedicated his entire life for the development of country, is no more with us. It's a day we all must know why he's so much respected and so much loved and called as the "Ajatashatru".
After the release of movie Pokhran, we all understood how much Atal Ji wanted to get the Nuclear test done, as he was keen on lifting the status of India in the Geo Politics of the world. There was a scenario where he helped Pakistan PM Nawaz Shariff when he was in distress. Though Pakistan was waging a war, he stood still and fought them with a smile and fought harder to bring in peace and harmony between both the nations. He ensured we held our heads high when other countries imposed sanctions. He won over millions of hearts all across the world.
In the similar way, when Sri PV Narasimha Rao was the prime minister, instead of sending his own party members, he sent Atal Ji who was the leader of opposition as a representative of India to the United Nations General Assembly. In one of PVN Rao's interview he says "Atal Ji is like my guru in Politics, I have learnt a lot from him." such was the persona Atal Ji held. Remember, a Congressman praising BJP leader. Very rare you would find this.
Atal Ji, was instrumental in not just building RSS, but also building Bharatiya Jana Sangh and also one of the pillars of today's Bharatiya Janata Party.
Atal Ji showed the entire country what true governance is, what secular means and how to even treat enemies with a smile.
Atal Ji is an inspiration for all of us., we youngsters have to learn from this great leader and his experiences.
After this, I would not say today is a dark day, but today is a day of enlightenment. We are all blessed to have seen him rule and take our Bharath to the higher levels of respect in the world. We are all blessed to have lived during his time. Today, like all of you, I'm having tears rolling down my eyes not under my control... Today is a day where the legend Sri. Atal Bihari Vajpayee will remain in our hearts forever.
